Human connection vs. AI

There are many Psychologists that discuss the implications of technology and human connection and the impact it may have on our world.  AI brings a whole new layer of complexity to human connection, especially in a classroom setting.

Gordon Neufeld is a Canadian developmental Psychologist who is considered an expert on children and their development. His main focus is on attachment between adults and children, and often talks about how imperative it is that teachers connect with students before they can learn anything. This has interesting implications if the future is AI as a teacher assistant.

Sherry Turkle is a professor of Social Sciences at MIT and like Neufeld discusses the importance of human connection and how technology and the future are quickly dissolving important human functions like discussion and listening.

Will AI change the way we communicate as individuals, families, employees and/or educators?

Will this be a change for the better or a change that leads to a disconnected society?
